Linden is centrally situated in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. Within short reach is Bad Tölz, the city of Munich, the Munich fair, the airport of Munich, several ski destinations as well as diverse places of excursions. A variety of beautiful lakes (Kochelsee, Riegsee, Schliersee, Starnberger See, Staffelsee, Sylvenstein-Stausee, Tegernsee and Walchensee) as well as water parks, museums and exhibitions, and various golf courses are nearby. For the football fans the Allianz Arena (Munich football stadium) can be reached by car in 50 minutes. The mountains offer long hiking trips or leisurely strolls.

Linden is located about 30km south of Munich.

By car:

Linden can be reached via the motorway Salzburg (exit Holzkirchen or Hofoldinger Forst) or via the state road 2368 via Endlhausen. From the motorway it is only a 10 minutes drive to Linden.

By public transport:

The nearest train station is in Otterfing (8km away) or Holzkirchen (11km away). In Otterfing there is the S-Bahn to Munich which runs about every 20 minutes. From Holzkirchen runs besides the S-Bahn the Bavarian Oberlandbahn (BOB) and the regional train. By BOB you are at the main train station in Munich within 25 minutes or you can comfortably reach further beautiful destinations such as Tegernsee, Schliersee, Lenggries and Bayrischzell without car. The regional train takes you as well to Rosenheim.

Directly from Linden you can take the RVO bus (to Holzkirchen or Bad Tölz), but it leaves only 4-5 times per day.

Shopping possibilities:

For grocery shopping the closest supermarkets are about 4 km or 8 km respectively away. For larger shopping venues Munich and Rosenheim are nearby.
